With a background in Corporate Finance and Deals, Paul, the founder of Crossover Solutions, has structured and managed near $23B in M&A with $13.5B directly for Magna International. Paul is also CEO and Founding Partner with Invotek Electronics, Chair of Construction Distribution and Supply (CDS), former Vice-Chair of AP Plasman, and has 30+ years of experience leading and guiding a strategic financial direction of Tier 1 Automotive Suppliers, specifically, Magna, Faurecia, and Manchester Plastics.

Paul is a Queen’s University MBA with a Valuation and Strategy certification from Harvard.

Paul was recognized by the Markham Board of Trade (Canada’s fastest-growing economic region and technical hub) as Entrepreneur of the Year for 2019.

 

Michael Forhan

President, Managing Partner

Michael leverages a solid cross-functional background accumulated over 30-years in a variety of manufacturing environments and is an expert at organizational transformations. Michael works collaboratively with clients in their challenging situations, crafting and implementing work plans that optimize outcomes.

His 30 years of manufacturing Experience include many years at Magna International, initially in R&D, then Corporate Finance, subsequently in leadership roles at manufacturing locations and ultimately departing his role as a Director of Magna’s Structural Systems and Chassis Group to launch an Operational Turnaround Practice at PwC.

Michael’s areas of expertise are operationally distressed and troubled/high-risk supplier intervention and risk mitigation, crisis management, and interim management/leadership.

Industries served to include Automotive, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Paper Manufacturing, Corrugating, and Converting, etc.

Michael holds an MBA from Tulane University and a BSc from Union College.

 

Rod MacIntyre

COO, Managing Partner

Rod is a high-performing, results-driven Automotive Executive with 30-plus years of industry experience.

His cross-functional background in process engineering, maintenance, manufacturing leadership, supplier quality, quality, and supplier operations management are applied in leadership roles across all commodities. Rod is a strong motivational leader whose skills accomplish stabilization and change initiatives quickly in critical situations.

Rod led the Supplier Operations Team in North America and Europe for the past ten years for General Motors. This role afforded Rod the unique opportunity to experience and engage in every type of supplier and situation possible.

Experiences include bankruptcies, performance turnarounds, natural disaster recoveries, financially troubled supplier performance, business transfers, tool moves, operational viability assessments.

 

North America

Dan Long

Vice President, North America Operations

Dan is an accomplished leader with over 25-years in the OEM and Tier 1 Automotive Industry and is an expert in Value Chain Engineering and Tactical Supply Chain Management. Dan works with clients to optimize outcomes, dealing proficiently with aligning objectives and delivering results on significant/complex projects.

Dan became an expert in quality systems, product launch and program management while dealing with the intricacies of vehicle safety systems while at Autoliv, TRW and Takata. Dan then spent over 10 years at General Motors gaining expertise in leadership development and strategic planning while successfully leading and managing cross-functional supply chain crisis events. Dan led teams where he developed and implemented a host of risk mitigation strategies that negated OEM manufacturing interruptions.

Dan holds a BBA in Production and Operations Management from Eastern Michigan University.

 

Raghu Gurumurthy

Director of North America Operations

Raghu is a seasoned Industrial Engineering Expert with a decade of experience across diverse industries like Automotive, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, CPG, Food & Beverage, Building Products, Pharma and Technology. He is proficient in industrial engineering applications, lean methodologies, digital twin technology, and production facility design.

As an IE consultant, Raghu has supported diverse manufacturing operations in enhancing their operational efficiencies. He holds an MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pune.

 

Asia-Pacific

Roger Looney

Vice President, Asia-Pacific Operations & EV Practice

Roger brings over 30 years of leadership experience leading and supporting EV Start-ups, Product and Vehicle Development, Vehicle, Assembly and Component production processes, M&A, Vehicle and Program Launch Management, and Asia-Pacific focused Business Development.

Roger is a trusted advisor to Top Tier Consulting firms enabling Asia Pacific industrialization, quality deployment and product development.  In addition, he advises OEM clients with respect to vehicle development, vehicle systems engineering, and has deep expertise in Electric Vehicles and propulsion systems integration.  Roger as a member of the founding team of Automotive Start up Qoros has written, led and guided development roadmaps and go to market strategies for EV & ICE vehicles and propulsion systems.

Prior to operating at the vehicle level, Roger began as a Journeyman Toolmaker & Patternmaker, was proud to serve as a Sargent in the USAF, and then took on engineering roles with ASC, and Toyota in Japan where he was certified in the Toyota Production System.  Roger became a VP for Lear, managing the Asian region including establishing the Philippine, India, Korean & China Engineering Centers for Interiors, Seats, Wiring & Electronics, as well as various operational and plant management roles. Roger has also managed 7 mergers and acquisitions throughout Asia and Europe during his career.

Roger holds a BSME from the University of Maryland (CCAF), ME with Computer Controls from Henry Ford Community College, Unix & C++ Programming Certificate from University of Michigan and is a Journeyman Toolmaker.

 

Europe

Martin Gillitzer

Managing Director – Europe Operations

Martin developed an extraordinary track record in supporting clients with tough challenges, expertly providing advise in areas of production management, performance optimization, quality management and systems, supply chain management and risk mitigation, supplier quality, new product/program launch, business transfer and vehicle / vehicle system testing.

Martin possesses over 30 years of experience with OEM and Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturers.  He held several positions with HP Pelzer: production team leader, SQA, and technical support manager for BMW products.  Martin then moved to the BMW beginning in production, moving into quality management and vehicle road testing, and subsequently took on leadership for relocation of BMW production to suppliers.  This exposure vaulted Martin to become the QMP for Interior parts and suppliers and ultimately the Global Manager for Interior parts for BMW, Mini, and Rolls Royce.

Martin holds a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Metal Production and Management.

 

Richard Hahnekamp

Managing Director – Europe Business Development

Richard has an impressive 30+ years in Automotive beginning in development engineering for interior trim with progression into General Manager, Managing Director, and Vice President for Magna Europe’s Interior Systems.

Over the past 12 years, Richard led consulting projects for Audi, BMW, and Daimler, supporting Vehicle Interior Systems in engineering, program management, production, logistics, cost, and quality.

Prior to getting involved in Automotive, Richard spent 10 years in Development Engineering in lightweight materials and coatings in Aerospace, Automotive, and Sporting Products.

Richards holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Hohere Technische Bundeslehranstalt.

John Allen

John is an expert problem solver with a reputation for quickly fixing problems around complex manufacturing process and product performance. Before its acquisition by Crossover Solutions, he and David Hartshorne were co-founders of The New Science of Fixing Things, a manufacturing consultancy well known for diagnosing and remedying performance, durability, and reliability issues that others had struggled – and failed – to resolve.

In his globe-spanning career solving problems in “planes, trains, and automobiles,” John has worked with many Fortune 500 clients, including General Motors, Pratt & Whitney, US Steel, and General Electric.

 

David Hartshorne

He began his career in the automotive and aerospace industries. His clients have included Alcoa, Delphi, Bosch, Philips, Hexcel, and ThyssenKrupp.

With John Allen, David co-founded The New Science of Fixing Things, a group of exceptional technical problem solvers who built a reputation for solving complex problems fast. TNSFT was acquired by Crossover Solutions in 2022.

David is a respected speaker and lecturer who led statistical engineering seminars for many years. He holds an MS from Warwick University in the UK.
